Q: christmas cards?
I was just wondering if Applejack licensing intl of vermont sells
christmas cards?
A: Yes, they have greeting cards that include Christmas cards. Their website is not very user friendly, since it seems you have to know the name of the artist who does the cards, or spend a whole lot of time going through the list of names to find the artwork. Personally, I like the ones that Shelly Rache does. You can find her portfolio at Applejack's website at the following address:
http://www.applejackart.com/aj/ajStore/cgi-bin/aj_onlinestorecatalog.exe?VM_CGI_OBJECT=storebuilder_displayed_page&VM_CGI_EVENT=HomeEv
But since that address is like nine miles long, you may just have to go to Google and enter Applejack Licensing in the search field.
Q: Do people hand out Christmas cards any more?
Do people hand out Christmas cards any more?
This is my first Christmas at my current job and I handed out Christmas cards the other day and every body seemed so surprised as if they had never seen a Christmas card before,as if somebody body giving them a folded piece of cardboard in and envelope with a message on it was new to them.
A: Yes people still give out christmas cards but maybe at your work, that's not part of the culture so maybe it was unexpected. Every place is different.
Q: Is it too early to send Christmas cards?
I was bored this weekend, so I wrote out all of my Christmas cards. I am worried that if someone on my list gets sick or a family member dies, etc. between now and Christmas, I will have to write out a new card to express sympathy or whatever else may come up. I would rather not have to waste money on a new card or spend time writing out something new. Should I just drop them in the mail now?
A: A tiny bit OCD are we? Don't mail the cards now, this will be something very usefull for you to worry about until the day after Thanksgiving; then you may mail. PS the day after Thanksgiving is the last Friday in November.
Q: How long should you keep Birthday cards and Christmas cards?
How long do you keep them after you receive a card for like your Birthday or Christmas? Do you keep them for a few weeks then throw them away? Or longer? Or are there some people that keep them forever?
A: it depends on how sentimental they are to you. some you throw away, some you keep forever.
Q: When is the appropriate time to send out Christmas cards?
I dread sending out Christmas cards every year. I don't even really like receiving them. Anyone else feel that way? And, do I have to send cards to relatives that I don't like and haven't spoken to in years? (like my old, crusty great-aunts that don't even know my name)
A: Send them or not, your choice. But, you know, those crusty old aunts may not know your name, but that may be one of the few things they get at Christmas... to know someone was thinking about them. Imagine being old with not much family. The holidays are a very sad time of year for many people.
Q: Writing Christmas cards to someone who's not formal to me, nor a friend. Please help?
I am writing out Christmas cards for some people who work at the university where I study. They are not my friends or coworkers. However, whenever I see them, we have really nice talks and even talk about personal issues. What I'm trying to say is that I wouldn't call them friends, but our relationship is not formal.
Is it appropriate just to say something like "Merry Christmas and happy New Year" or is that too impersonal?
What should I write in the cards? Help!
A: That sounds perfectly fine. I generally put something like 'Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year" and then sign my name. Most people are just happy to be thought of and get a card.
Q: is it okay to handout out Christmas cards to coworkers?
I want to give my coworkers Christmas Cards but I don't want to have it be an HR issue.
The cards have a Christmas tree on them and I don't want to offend anyone if they don't celebrate Christmas.
What is the etiquette?
A: just to be on the safe side i would use cards that say season greetings or happy holidays. i have been sending cards out to clients for about 5 years now and about 500 each holiday season. one year when i did send merry christmas cards one of my clients did call me later to thank me but did mention that she didn't celebrate christmas. she wasn't offended and did appreciate the gesture( and she is still a client for 3 yrs now) but i have changed to season greetings cards and have had no one ever complain. i still send her one ever year (season greetings)and she calls to thank me. i dont think your co workers will be offended, because your gesture in warm hearted and they should recognize that.
Q: What do you do with Christmas cards that you get by mistake?
Should I return the Christmas cards that come to my address but not addressed to me and no one by that name lives here?
they wrote a long heartfelt message...
i put it in my neighbors mail box, I think her name is Susan.
A: Like Elvis sang, "Return to sender."
Q: Will my family recieve christmas cards by christmas in the mail?
if i send them out tomorrow by regular mail will they get them by christmas? I live in florida and they live in california, I have 4 different cards to send to 4 different parts of california. or do i have to spend more money and do priority mail.
A: Not likely, but it doesn't matter. It's still good to get the card, even if gets there a few days later. In fact, it's better because it's an unexpected surprise.
Q: WHere can I find information regarding sending Christmas Cards to our servicemen overseas?
I would like to add a touch of warmth of Christmas to our servicemen overseas - I need destinations I can mail these cards to
A: I suggest that you contact the local USO. they will be able to help you out with those questions. If you can not find the nearest one try calling the Bob Hope USO in Los Angeles, California it is one of the better know ones as it is near LAX and many of our service people come through there.
Good Luck and Thanks :) My daughter, Son in law and soon to be son in law are all over there!
Q: Poll: How many snailmail Christmas cards did you get in your actual mailbox this year...?
I am so old fashioned....
I love opening Christmas Cards and getting corny update letters...
Peace.
A: I rec'd about a dozen that I expected .... and one, in a padded envelope, that I didn't get ..... sniff, sniff ... one card covering a
banana nut bread baking Pez dispenser.
....oh well ... there is always next year!!!!!!
Q: Approximately how many Christmas cards are mailed in Great Britain each year ?
It doesn't matter where they're going to, just how many are mailed (approximately) ........... or, if it is too difficult to find that out, maybe someone knows how many Christmas cards are purchased annually.
Thanks.
A: There would be seriously, literally hundreds of thousands mailed out, and that does not take the ones hand delivered to friends and letterboxes into account.

i'm making my own christmas cards, and i was just wondering if anyone had some good suggestions for christmasy quotes/song lyrics/verses from the bible/etc etc for the inside of the cards?

Q: What can I include in Christmas cards this year?
I'm looking for some ideas of something special that I can include in my Christmas cards this year...I don't have enough money to include lottery tickets or gift cards or money...and I don't want to do the expected...pictures, a yearly letter or a pack of seeds...I was thinking maybe a special recipe, but I don't know what? Any ideas of what I could use? Thanks.
A: Your favorite recipe would be a good idea. Some other items I have given and or received in cards are of course pictures, stickers, small ornaments, handmade bracelet, handmade necklace, blank recipe cards, hard flat candies, spice packets, hot chocolate packet, homemade pin, Christmas magnet, Poem, and stamps.
