Q: What are the best crafts to make for Christmas?
I want to get into making wreaths and decorative candles and I need suggestions. Thanks in advance.
A: You can make all types of wreaths. Any type of personal interest can be incorporated into them. For example, if someone's into music, you can make a wreath with little guitars and music notes mixed
in.
I'm not sure about other ideas for wreaths and candles, but some other craft ideas might be:
Christmas stockings: You can either make your own out of felt or cloth, or buy a plain one and decorate it yourself.
Also, christmas tree ornaments are fun and you can keep them for a really long time
Q: what are some fun Christmas crafts to do with my 2 year old daughter?
A: This is for you and Jennifer K: My kids make personalized Christmas crafts to give to their grandparents each year. One year, my daughter painted her foot brown and placed it on a Christmas hot pad. That was the deer's face. Then she painted her hands green and they were for the antlers. Then she put wiggly eyes and a red pom pom for Rudolf's nose. Then one year, we laminated brown construction paper and cut out a gingerbread man. We decorated the gingerbread man with wiggly eyes, rick rack for the arms and legs, ribbon bow tie etc. Then we cut a circle out of the belly and inserted my kids picture. Under the picture was written, "Sweet on the Inside." Then last year we took a round plastic Christmas ball ornament and spray painted it blue. We used white paint to paint my daughter's hand and put the ornament in her hand. (Her hand emcompassed the ball). The result were five "snowmen". I then decorated the snowment with markers and added black eyes, an orange triangle nose, black hats, scarves, and three buttons down the body. I put her name and date on the back of the ornament using a silver marker. This year I made a Santa Claus out of her hand and put it on a Christmas hot pad. I painted her fingers white (his beard), the palm was flesh (this was the paint color), on top of the flesh was some white and on top of the white was red. The thumb was also red with a white tip for the ball at the end of Santa's hat. Then I used a black marker to make the face. Hopefully this all wasn't too confusing!
Q: How do I make a Santa sack to put presents in for Christmas? Anyone handy with crafts..please help me?
I was looking at laundry bags, pillowcases, but need some sort of drawstring that I could make out of it. I am not that handy with sewing so it would needs to be easy to make. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks
A: I would buy a green pillowcase, or dye a white one to the color you want. Like the answer above, don't even worry about the drawstring - just gather the top and secure with a rubber band, then tie a big xmas ribbon around it.

Q: What is a good Christmas craft for my three year old son?
I'm looking for a fun holiday craft to do with my son for Christmas. Something he can give to relatives as a gift. He's three years old so I'm looking for something relatively simple. Also, I don't give him sugar, so I don't want to bake cookies or anything like that.
A: Christmas Cards.
You can use templates to trace shapes of xmas trees or snowmen. Fold paper and cut like you do for paper dolls.
Important: Get glitter glue pens. Decorate and write messages.
If you get laminating sheets, you can use the same concept to make ornaments. Cut out a star, or other shape. Decorate, laminate, punch a hole and string with ribbon.
Edit: donrentf, kids love to make stuff...a 3 year old is fully capable of cutting paper and coloring on it with pens. A 3-year old is also intelligent enough to have a full understanding of the process and can appreciate the outcome.
Q: Christmas crafts for a 3, a 5 and a 7 year old?
I am going to look after my neices who are 5 and 7 while their parents go Xmas shopping...I'd like to do some crafts with them and my 3 year old..no baking though! What would be good? Any ideas please?
A: Your nieces and your own child are so fortunate that you are teaching them to be creative!
You could make Christmas bird decorations from half walnut shells, gold paint, red construction paper and sequins. Or you could use the kids photos to make personalised Christmas tree decorations which your families will treasure for years to come.

Q: what are some nice crafts that I could make for christmas presents for family ?
we are very low on money this year, so I thought I could make some crafts for different people in my family, anyone have some idea's or some websites that I could use?
A: I like to make gell candles for each person. Real simple, looks nice and you can even color and/or sent the candle. Nice thing is you can personalize each candle. Put a small trinket inside the jar before you pour the wax...for example put a toy firetruck in it for the firefighter in your life, ect. Another good one is use cookie cutters into Christmas Tree ornaments.
Q: Christmas crafts 4 an 11 year old?
i have an 11 year old who loves crafts and i need christmas crafts for her yeah i know its early but she is syced about it
A: I think a good project would be to have her paint quart jars. There are transfers you can buy to put on the jar - whatever you might like. Then you can put dried flowers in the jar, or get a small glass candle holder that sits right in the mouth of the jar - add a candle, and a bow with ribbon, and you have a wonderful gift.
Q: when is the best time to sell christmas crafts?
just wondering
A: On ebay, usually Xmas Crafts start to show up around late September early October...that way they have it before Christmas day. So where ever you are selling them at, you might want to do it before Christmas
