Q: Christmas Tree Decorations?
I would like to have a halloween or gothic theamed tree this year. I cant fine any decor fr the tree online. I have tryed a google search and looked on halloween sites. Help me please

A: You should check craft stores, you can probably get some halloween decorations for 50 - 75% off but, hurry because they probably don't have much left. Check craft websites for directions on how to make your own decorations.

Q: When u put up ur christmas tree this yr.[if u do]what color lights will you place on sacred TREE?
there's soooooo many types of decorations too, what kind of decor do you hang on the tree? this yr. was thinking of blue lights and decorated only w/birds

A: I like mine to be colorful with lots of decorations that are meaningful to our family. It gives us that warm happy feeling.

Q: Real Christmas trees or fake this year?
From prior discussions here we know that some of us dislike cutting down a live tree for a few weeks' enjoyment, and prefer realistic but fake trees. Others insist the trees are grown just for this purpose. Some have to compromise with family members who want it one way or the other. What's planned for your Christmas decor this year - real or fake? As for me - LOL - it will probably be ceramic; no room for a tree!

A: I gave up live trees about 3 years ago, because I got tired of lugging it from the car to the house, and then from the house to the curb for pick-up. Our used trees were then made into mulch. I have this fake tree that I purchased but it is heavier than the real tree. I think this year I am going to put up a table top and make it easy on myself since it is just me and my mom. Then again, I might get inspired, change my mind, and buy a very very, short, live tree.

Q: Christmas decorating ideas?
I'm starting to think about ideas for Christmas decor. I love the country/rustic type of Christmas decor. I think this year I am going to make a popcorn strand for the tree. Anyone have any other ideas that are quite easy that relate to this theme? Even simple ideas are welcome! Thanks!

A: a very country looking cotton plaid in dark greens, reds and blues keeps coming to mind. It would look well on your tree in the form of simple bows made from fabric strips cut with a pinking shears, and centered with a little spray of cranberries. Real gingerbread men as ornaments. miniature bushel baskets you have aged by tea dying or dry brushing with an antiquing gel can be suspended from the plaid bows and filled with mini pine cones. You could also make some miniature stocking ornaments from the plaid fabric.by cutting them out with pinking shears and leaving the seam allowance on the outside(less work and more charm) and stuffing them for dimension. Tiny dark red and green knitted mittens can sometimes be found in craft stores this time of year and make cute additions to the theme of the tree. Make a cranberry strand to accompany the popcorn strand. Have a Merry Country Christmas!

Q: Christmas decor help?
Could someone please give me a good website to order personalized christmas stockings with a matching personalized tree skirt? Reasonably priced please.

A: Lands End or Pottery Barn or Hold Everything. They are a little pricey though.. but they don't look cheesy. Lands End is a little more reasonable. You could try Amazon.com they seem to have everything these days.

Q: Punk Rock Christmas Decor?
This year we've decided to make our Christmas a punk rock/rock -a-billy/rock theme, and we need some ideas for decoration as well as tree ornaments. Any ideas, websites, or stores would be a huge help! and if you could not add your opinions or pass judgment about how wrong and un-Christ-like you feel it is, that'd be great. Thanks! P.s. everyone eats meat on Easter, because that's when Lent is over. :)

A: I think that sounds kinda cool! It's something different from a change. You could go to a party store and incorporate certain rock/punk-ish decorations with normal x-mas decorations. You can buy guitars and drums as ornaments, but I've mostly seen just traditional looking ones....you could always make your own! I've also seen fake trees that are all shiny silver, and you could decorate x-mas balls with black & white stripes, blk & pink, etc, use punk-like arm bands...you can get lots of cool stuff from dollar stores too! Put skulls in the middle of holly flowers....& yeah! Just go with it and see how you do! Brain storm a bunch of ideas, and I'm sure you'll come up with something awesome. :) Hope this helps, & good luck!

Q: Suggestions for a winter/ Christmas wedding?
We are getting married on December 19th. The church will be decorated with the Christmas trees and stuff like that. I have a really good idea of what I am going to do but I am just looking for some ideas. Joann fabrics store has all of there Christmas decor on 90% off so I picked up a lot today. The colors are a deep red with gold and ivory. The party favors are going to be stockings filled with christmas cookies and holiday candy. Looking for any ideas out there. Thanks. :) Thanks... I some nice ideas. We totally scored at the Joanns sale. We bought 30 poinsettas... hahaha... we looked like crazy women. :) We got a lot of garland with pine cones and berries. I wanted to make sure that it is elegant and not cheesy or over the top. We are actually going to set up a seating area within the reception. We are going to actually take our couches and my futon and get new slip covers and set them up with a Christmas tree and portable fire place. We are going to set out playing cards and jenga. We are going to set out some bean bags and packets of hot choc. and spiced cider. I am so excited. Thanks for the answers. Good luck with all of your weddings too.

A: I hate that people have started decorating early now. Like you, my family and I always put out tree up the day after Thanksgiving. I believe in celebrating one holiday before you begin the next. The first time I walked into Walmart before Halloween and saw christmas decorations, I was shocked. Your tradition is wonderful....keep it up.

Q: Christmas Room Decor?
Hello! I really want to decorate my room for Christmas (soo excited!) but the problem is my room is definitely not Christmas colors (it's purple, black and white.) Does anyone have any ideas for decorating? I'm already getting a cheap 4 foot fake purple tree. LOL. I'm getting the tree from "Big Lots" if you've heard of it . It's aluminum, $16 ,and AWESOME! Haha whoops never mind it's not aluminum! http://biglots.inserts2online.com/breakout.jsp?referrer=imagemap&imageName=b422987_3.jpg&isBreakoutImage=true&pageNumber=1&breakoutName=b422987_3.jpg&itemId= You can see a little bit of it on the bottom!

A: I'd stick to anything white. Snowflakes, Glitter (if you want it) and Tinsel would work. The purple tree is AWESOME!

Q: Is it too early for Christmas?? ?
I am SO ready to put my tree and decor out for Christmas! We are a very traditional family and love the holidays. We also have two small children that love Christmas as well and are already talking about Santa. I want this year to be very memorable and want it to last as long as possible. What is the normal time frame to put up a tree and decor?? We always make the month of December last very long. We do Christmas stories every night, christmas crafts for every day, holidays movies, the works! I just don't want to stand out with my decor early..lol

A: Hey there! :) Sounds like your really in the spirit! Good for you! So am I! :D No, it is not too early at all! Anyways, the earlier the better! :) Christmas is amazing! I`d celebrate it every tim eof the year! :P Have a happy holiday!!:)♥ from Melina :]

Q: Holiday decor for a gallery (outside)?
I need to attract attention from the road.. The gallery looks like a little two story red house. It has a side yard that we could actually put up a tree or some kind of display if needed. What can I do as Christmas decor to attract attention and get people to come into the gallery? Thanks for advice!

A: Christmas decor is nice. Why not try to make a tree out of artsy items? Make a sculpture piece. Make a large 'canvas' out of plywood and paint a picture on it of an artist painting a Christmas theme painting! See if there is a local place to rent oversize party props of things like Christmas Ornaments, etc. And you have to have lights, as long as there is not a city ordinance against them!

Q: Mall took down Christmas decorations?
The shopping mall here has replaced all their red and green Christmas decor with blue, purple and white snowmen, snowflakes and gifts. This makes me so mad! It doesn't even look like Christmas. I miss the holly, trees, lights and wreaths. What do you think about this?

A: PC gone insane!

Q: What Should I Do For Christmas To Always Be Remembered?
Here are a few suggestions from myself... Run naked outside with Christmas lights wrapped around me (I have a hand held generator, so I've already planned out my power source) Set my Christmas Tree on fire (outside of course) with all the decor' on it in the middle of my apartment complex? (Legal trouble possible) Make a fake suicide video for the my family (we all hate each other anyway) The suicide would consist of me hanging myself with Christmas lights, OR just shooting myself in the head in front of the Nativity Scene (I hope Jesus isn't mad at this one) Dress up in a black Santa suite, with a dead looking zombie face painted on...Then Break into someones house (with children of course) Chase them around the house with coal, and such. (Legal Troubles, once again) I dunno...Contribute. ****UPDATE***** For everyone telling me to help a homeless person...Just keep your self righteous bullshit to yourself...I've helped more people than I can count, and I love helping people. I'm just trying to have a little Christmas fun. Thanks for the input though. oHHHHH! I know, I have a new one...No offense to anyone... But I could be a GANGSTER Santa, paint my face black, have a gold tooth, and just rob people all day long...That's what happened to my aunt yesterday... Well, not from a black santa...Just two black guys with guns robbed her after she did her Christmas shopping...They stole $500 worth of gift cards...What dickheads.

A: I love you. That's all. I realize we have not met yet.

Q: Christmas Pictures at the mall scenery???
Ok has anyone evr gone to the mall and taken a camera and took your own kids pics at the decorations at the mall like around where santa is they have all klinds of stuff set up or a big tree in the mall?? Have you done this and has anyone ever said anything about it. I take my kids pics myself and thought it might be cool to get some cute christmas decor in the background and fix the pics up.

A: many let you pose with santa and take your pictures too...
