Q: Christmas gift ideas for a 15 year old girl?
Okay I am totally stumped on what to get this kid for Christmas. She isn't mine but she lives with me. She has lots of clothes, and she wants an Ipod, but I can't afford that this year. A: If you can't get an iPod, just apologise and explain to her you couldn't afford it. Talk to her about music before Christmas and find out what kind of artists she likes, and buy her CDs, they are much cheaper than an iPod. Get her like a box of chocolates, a pretty necklace or a nice perfume. Cool hair accessories or scarves are also an option (scarves are very in this year). Books or DVDs maybe? Gift certificates for her favourite stores? If she plays an instruments, some artists release books telling you how to play their songs on instruments such as piano or guitar, you could get her one of those. Teenagers are really hard to buy for, but for girls, simple, pretty and thoughtful are usually best!

A: Candy is always good, but its a little common. If I were you, I would get them cute nail polish or holiday socks. I've always done something like that. Or, you could get them a Christmas music CD. Besides that, you could get them Christmas scented candles or lotion. You can buy either pretty cheap and they make nice gifts. A: Don't get a gift certificate. That just seems so impersonal and the easy way out. You can buy a decent knife for that price that he will use the rest of his life (and think of you everytime he does). A Lansky knife sharpener, hunting shirt, gortex gloves or mittens, a bore sighter, fishing net, filet knife, fishing vest, water shoes/deck shoes are some other ideas. Good luck and I'm sure he will appreciate anything you decide.

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions or examples on what would be a good Christmas gift to get for a nice female friend? She and I are both in late 20s, have known her about 4 months now...not sure exactly what to get though?

A: What does she like? I think that's the first clue.. what are her interests? hobbies? Also, color, lifestyle, a lot of things are important too. Usually if you stick to something universal.. like an accessory works - like a pretty knit scarf, a small purse, watch.. but then again, getting a girl that from a guy is kind of tough. Girls like jewelry too but you really got to watch what she wears. Make sure if you get her any of that to have a return receipt (no offense. she will love u more for it) Do you know what music she likes? A $10-$20 iTunes card is very cool.. also to any of her fav. stores? (altho I think those are harder since u have to spend more) The only thing about gift cards they're a bit less personal.
