Q: I am from England (UK) should I put up my outdoor Christmas lights this weekend?

A: yea it is perfectly fine to put up christmas lights now, some people all ready have their trees up

Q: Materials need to install outdoor roof christmas lights.?
Puerto Rico Outdoors.

A: You can attach the lights to a couple of different types of simple plastic brackets available at large home centers and some hardware stores.. One slides under the shingle tabs the other will attach to your eavetroughs. You'll also need an extension cord to reach from the nearest outlet.

Q: Do you have a neighbor that goes crazy with outdoor Christmas lights?
I don't have a neighbor like this, but I like to watch the specials on TV that showcase these homes. Some neighborhoods have traffic problems!

A: Hahaha! As bad as Tim the Toolman Taylor ! They could shut the street lights off in our neighborhood ! By the way, thanks. It's not Holiday's, it's MERRY CHRISTMAS to all !!! Fk the "politically correct".

Q: Are Christmas lights (outdoor) expensive to use?
thank you! considering using them this year and want to consider price before putting them up! Xx:)

A: If you are using low watt lights and your not putting up thousands of lights then No. It also depends on how long you keep them on as well. I put up some lights on my porch and some in my yard and my bill barley goes up.

Q: Is there any way to know whether Christmas lights are indoor or outdoor?
They were put up last year, but forgot to label them. So, don't tell me to look at the box because there is none. Just curious if they are labeled or if there is a significant difference in the way they are made so I can tell the difference...

A: If there is still a tag on the wire you might check that...it would probably say "for indoor use only" if they are not outdoors.

Q: 2 Prong Christmas Lights?
Why are most outdoor Christmas light sets only 2-pronged? Outdoor outlets are always 3-pronged and I worry that there will be an electrical hazard when plugging a 2-pronged plug into them.

A: Your outdoor receptacles should be GFCI protected. That will eliminate any hazard. And there are no exposed metal surfaces on those light strings, so they are listed by UL as being safe with the 2 wire cords. It's the same with plastic handled power tools, they all have 2 prong plugs.

Q: I need help with Christmas lights!?
I have put a strand of outdoor Christmas lights in a bush outside the house. The strand consists of 4 total sets of lights. However, on two of the sets of lights, half of the sets do not work, but the other half does. So, I have two sets that work fine, and two that only light halfway. What can I do to fix the problem? Thanks in advance.

A: There could be one burnt out bulb that is affecting it. Try looking closely at each bulb that is out to see if you can see which one it is. Or sometimes you just need to wiggle each of them until you find one that is loose. Do it while the strand is plugged in so you know if you've found the problem. I had this problem on Sunday. Wiggling them worked for me, hopefully it will work for you as well.

Q: when did people put Christmas lights outside?
what year did outdoor christmas lights appear?

A: 2006 - right after Thanksgiving Day dinner...

Q: I have no outdoor outlets but I want to hang up christmas lights.?
Does anybody have a solution short of having ones installed?

A: There are outlets that you can screw into your light socket. They work great for something like this. You could also run an extension cord outside for the lights.

Q: what do you call these outdoor patio lights?
I am trying to figure out what these lights are called. I know they were used alot in the past to light up car lots and as christmas lights in the 50's. I still see them today in outdoor restaurant patios and at firework stands. They are full size light bulbs on a string. I would like to purchase some for my outdoor patio but I cant find where they are sold.

A: like lanterns you mean?

Q: I Think My Outdoor Rainbow Christmas Lights are Still On Should I go Out and Check or Just Leave them On?

A: Leave them on. It will give the old lady next door something to look at.

Q: Why do my christmas lights go out every minute for a few seconds?
I have outdoor lights that eventually all connect to a single outlet and am having a problem with everything going out for a few seconds about every minute. Is this a cord, outlet, string of lights, or single bulb problem? It's driving me crazy..I have tried multiple outlets with no luck..at one point one of the circuit breakers on one outlet kept resetting but it doesn't do it anymore (water?). Could the fact that I have some strings that connect more than three consecutive strings be the problem?

A: You put it on fade?

Q: Christmas Fairy indoor/outdoor bud lights?
Can u just put the lights in trees. palms and plants, if it rains is it dangerous, will they burn the plants, I read that a lady laid them on her lawn, do they have to be attached to hooks or sticks as I'm too old to get up a ladder, also I have to plug the power adapter from inside as have no power point at front which means I would have to leave a window or door open? Can the wire fit under doors or something?

A: If it says on the packaging that they are suitable for outside they will have a transformer which reduces the voltage to low voltage, they will not burn anything or catch fire if it rains. They will not need to be put on hooks or sticks, so you don't need to go up a ladder! The cable should be thin enough to go under a door or through a window opening without damaging the door/window, or without being damaged when the door/window is closed. If the packaging says for indoor use only, obviously don't use them outside! Hope this helps.

Q: can i put outdoor lights on a christmas tree?

A: It depends how big the lights are and how hot they get..that is what really makes the difference between the two..if the lights get really hot, when they are on the tree it wouldn't be wise to keep them on there, in case of fire..I hope you have a wonderful holiday season with both Thanksgiving and Christmas..take care and PEACE to you and yours today and everyday...;0)
