Q: first christmas in our first home and we have no christmas ornaments for our tree?
So my husband and I just got married in september and will be spending our Christmas in our first home!! We will be decorating for Christmas but have noticed that we don't have very many ornaments at all for our tree. So I thought about hosting a "Decorate our Tree" party for our family and friends but I'm concerned as to if this would be considered tacky and rude???? I just thought that it would be really cool and something that we could always have... (the ornaments) any ideas and advice would be great thanks!!
A: I think thats a good idea, lay on some christmas food and drink and a bit of christmas music. Ask them to bring one ornament and tell them why, you want a special reminder of your first christmas together.
Q: where is a good place to find mini ornaments for a christmas tree that are cheap?
A: Micheals craft store
Q: Christmas Trees Ornaments?
I have chosen to decorate my Christmas Tree in White and Silver so it may be like a white Christmas ( I live in Florida LOL! Beyond white here) Anyways, what do you guys think I was going to add a color then I realized I liked the whole white and silver scheme any suggestions or what do you guys think? Also, if you know any websites I could find nice ornaments I would appreciate it.
A: The white & silver theme looks very nice. I do that myself but I also in addition to the white lights, I add a couple of strands of blue lights that blink.
Q: Do it yourself Christmas ornaments? 10 pts for most helpful answer!?
Help! I need some ideas for do-it-yourself Christmas tree ornaments and my head is completely EMPTY right now. I did a web search but all I get is "purchase this kit" garbage...
Any ideas will help me so much - thank you! Plus I promise to pick a best answer!!!
A: Do a google search for "Salt Dough" It's a dough you make with salt, flour, and water. I don't remember the exact ratios. But you'll need those ingredients, thin ribbon, a straw, cookie cutters, a rolling pin, and some paints. You can get little bottles of paint in the craft section of Walmart, they are about .88 to .97 cents per bottle. The salt dough will either need to be dried for a couple of days or baked in a low oven. I usually bake it, it's quicker.
You could also make beaded icicles or candy canes. You'll need pipe cleaners, found in the craft department, and clear, red, and white beads. For icicles, cut a pipe cleaner in half, curl the top of it around to thread a ribbon through to hang it with, you'll want different sizes of clear round beads, start with little ones then a couple of bigger ones, then taper off to smaller ones to the bottom of the pipe cleaner, and bend the bottom of the pipe cleaner so that the beads don't slide off, I use a pair of needle nose pliers to bend the pipe cleaner.
For candy canes, use red and clear or red and white beads, make it the same as the icicle, only same size of beads, bend the top over and you have a candy cane.
You can also get ribbon (about 1 to 2 inches wide) and make bows to put on the branches.
You could also get some Christmas chocolate candy molds, and some plaster of paris and make ornaments to paint , make sure to put in a paperclip before it dries to hang it with.
If you'd like you can get some spray polyurathane to coat all of your painted ornaments after they are dry.
Q: Do you put more lights or ornaments on your Christmas tree?
A: My husband wants to hang me on the tree as an ornament because I stand back and say "it needs more lights". I think last year we had 10 strands...this year we got a bigger tree. I am sure you all will here him tomorrow when he is putting on the lights.
Q: Survey: Isn't the size of your Christmas Tree more important than how the ornaments are hung?
A: Ha Ha ! Made My Day !
Q: Does anyone have a strategy for putting ornaments on their Christmas tree so that it looks even?
A: first do the lights, then the garland or ribbon, then start with the bigger ornaments and space them out, then fill in with the smaller ones!

A: I just received a hand-made Christmas ornament. It is a regular light bulb that is sponge painted with light blue. A simple felt hat and dabs of different colored paint was used for the eyes, nose, mouth, and buttons. It is a snowman.

Q: Need to Find a Christmas tree Pickel?
Live in Jersey, Can not find a Christmas tree pickel ornament, yes there is such a thing. If you know of any where in the N New Jersey area that has them please drop me an email. Thanks
A: I have seen pickles before. Call some exclusive gift shops in your area. They are more likely to have specialty items than the big stores like Target & W/M.
