Q: Does hairspray prevent needles on real christmas trees fallin out?
Is it true that if you spray a real christmas tree with hairspray it prevents the needles falling out?also i heard coke o cola works is this true and how do u do it?x
A: I know that they did a Mythbusters episode on this. They found that hairspray did prevent needles from falling out and keep their color. But this also produces a fire hazard, since hairspray uses aerosol, so I wouldn't reccommed doing this. As for Coca-Cola, I don't know about that.
On that same episode, they found that the best thing for keeping needles from falling out was indeed bleach, but it really discolored the needles, though.
Q: Are Christmas trees poisonus to pet rabbits?
We have a house trained pet rabbit and have put our christmas tree up tonight and I am wondering if Bunny eats the tree is it bad for her?
A: Oh good grief. Contrary to other posts, pine trees are not toxic to rabbits (unless they are, as another pointed out, coated with a chemical).
Pine shaving DUST can be bad for bunnies lungs if they inhale it day after day, year after year, but a pine TREE in the house for christmas isn't going to do one darn thing.
Bunny nibbling pine needles is NOT going to hurt her either. Just make sure that she isn't nibbling because she's starving because you haven't fed her ;) Otherwise shes just nibbling because she's curious.
A fake christmas tree would be more dangerous than a real one if your bunny nibbled on it because the plastic needles could get into her system and block things up.
Merry Christmas! :)
Q: How many more Norwegian Christmas Trees to the UK for their WW2 debt is it going to take?
"In December each year, Norway gives a Christmas tree to the United Kingdom, in thanks for the UK's assistance during World War II. A ceremony takes place to erect the tree in Trafalgar Square.[15]" -Wikipedia
Does anyone know what year they will pay back the United Kingdom? :)
A: i don't think it is meant to be a payment in financial terms, it is meant to be a gesture of friendship. it is in memory of a time when things were very grim in Europe, and Norway and other occupied countries suffered greatly.

Q: Are Christmas trees actually bad for cats?
I've just heard something about this.
My kitten (like every other cat I've owned) likes to play/sleep under the tree, swat at ornaments (plastic), and scratch at the base (I don't care). She's never tried to eat it and I think neither have any of my previous cats.
Also could my kitten be allergic to my Christmas tree?
She occasionally sneezes only when she's playing under the tree. Maybe it's just tickling her nose?
It's an artificial tree with plastic ornaments and candy canes on it.
A: Not the tree itself; it's the decorations.
A lot of decorations are wrapped with foil thread and that can play merry hell with a cats digestive system. Silk balls are wrapped with a very fine thread that should not be ingested. And tinsel can block their intestines. Imported decorative wood ornaments are often painted with lead paint and that's not good for any animal. Old style lights can burn a cat's tongue or eye. Electrical cords can electrocute if chewed on. The cat could conceivably climb the tree and topple it.

Q: Do people in Italy have Christmas trees in their homes?
I'm going to be staying with an Italian family next month and I need to know if it's appropriate to bring Christmas tree ornaments as gifts.
Thank you.
The family lives near Milan, if regional differences matter.
A: Yes, according to more than one survey I read about all over the years, in home of Italians is easier to find a Christmas tree (near 60%, probably even more in Northern) than a Christmas crib (creche).
So, the answer of both your questions is yes.
Q: Are Christmas trees half off after Christmas??
Most stores, like Walmart, Kmart, etc. sell all Christmas decorations and such for half off (or even more) starting the day after Christmas. Does this include Christmas trees?? I'm mostly inquiring about Walmart. Thank-you.
I'm referring to artificial trees. We already have an artificial tree that was given to us by my husband's grandfather after he died. I think it was bought during the 1960's, so it needs replaced. I figure we can go one more year with it, and since we're going to buy one anyways, it would be best to get it the cheapest as possible- right after Christmas.
A: yes

Q: What cities in Italy have the best Christmas celebrations? (perhaps with ice skating, lights, trees, etc)?

A: Hi,
Christmas In ITALY
The popularity of the Nativity scene, one of the most beloved and enduring symbols of the holiday season, originated in Italy. St. Francis of Assisi asked a man named Giovanni Vellita of the village of Greccio to create a manger scene. St. Francis performed mass in front of this early Nativity scene, which inspired awe and devotion in all who saw it. The creation of the figures or pastori became an entire genre of folk art.
In Rome, cannon are fired from Castel St. Angelo of Christmas Eve to announce the beginning of the holiday season. A 24-hour fast ends with an elaborate Christmas feast. Small presents are drawn from the Urn of Fate.
The main exchange of gifts takes place on January 6, the feast of the Epiphany, the celebration in remembrance of the Magi's visit to the Christ Child. Children anxiously await a visit from La Befana who brings gifts for the good and punishment for the bad. According to legend, the three wise men stopped during their journey and asked an old woman for food and shelter. She refused them and they continued on their way. Within a few hours the woman had a change of heart but the Magi were long gone. La Befana, which means Epiphany, still wonders the earth searching for the Christ Child. She is depicted in various ways: as a fairy queen, a crone, or a witch.
