Q: where can i find a cream coloured artificial christmas tree?

A: the only place that I know....that could help your locate this is. www.bronners.com Bronners is THE largest Christmas store in the world, and it is located in Michigan. You should be able to e-mail them, and they can point you in the right direction.

Q: What's more environmentally friendly: having a real Christmas tree or an artificial Christmas tree?

A: The space used to grow christmas trees could be turned into a natural forest where mature trees eventually dominate. Such natural forests are greater carbon sinks then forestry plantations and have near zero pollutant costs. Compare that with your managed trees which require weeding operations, checks for pests and diseases, and of course felling and removal of stumps, waste wood etc. Collecting the real tree also requires an extra trip to pick it up whereas artificial ones can be bought at a shopping centre and are lighter and collapsable so can also be picked up in a smaller vehicle. The real tree after christmas then needs to be picked up and disposed of, most likely using a chipper which eats up power, produces pollutants etc. It's not a green solution, it's main advantage lying soley in the fresh pine smell of the tree over christmas and some people don't like the look of artificial trees - yet both still get covered in tinsel etc (probably produced in the same factory that makes the trees).

Q: Looking for a nice looking artificial Christmas Tree, any insights?
I found a good deal on an Good Tidings brand and a Bethlehem Lighting brand, but don't know how good of a brand those may be. Any help is great appreciated.

A: We bought an artificial tree at Lowe's with "feel real" branches. The brand is Decorator's Best and is pre-lit with GE constant-on lights(one goes out, the rest stay lit). The name of the tree is a Just-Cut Franklin Frasier. We love it!!

Q: Artificial Christmas Tree. I am looking for one but must be silver.?
To be more exact I want the strands that hang from the branches to be long strands of lafette if you know what I mean!! About 6 years ago Selfridges in London had these trees in their main window for their Christmas display. I have been searching the net but to no avail. Does any one know of a supplier

A: Try going to "CRAIGSLIST" site & U might find a seller for this item. Usually htere are loats of people who sell off what they dont need & at times a very good buy for a real bargain . If not just go to a store like MICHAELS wherever & check it out. another is chinatown where u might find a wholesale store that sells goods imported with all sorts for a cheaper price than form stores in yoru local area that stocks items for this coming season.,,,,GOOD LUCK!!

Q: Is it better to use a live or artificial Christmas Tree?

A: my family has always used a real tree...some of my best friends have always used a fake.....real trees require water and it is best to put them up no more then a week before christmas....fake trees can stay up all year long(though most dont).......i perfer real trees because i think the are beautiful and they put out a pine smell that acts like an airfreshener....but fake trees dont require all the work and u dont have to through them away...i dont kno which is better but here are just some things to think about..!

Q: Should my artificial Christmas tree smell like burnt plastic?
I purchased an artificial Christmas tree at Target this afternoon. We got it home, took it out of the box, plugged it in, and decorated it. About 3 hours later, we smelled something that was almost like burning plastic. After wandering around our house, we figured it was the Christmas tree because it was the only thing that had changed in our house. This is the first year I've ever had an artificial tree, so I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this (a similar smell)? I've checked online at Target, and no customers have written reviews of anything similar happening to them with this particular tree. Thanks!

A: No, you shouldn't be smelling burnt plastic. Return it before the safety hazard causes a fire. The smell could be from the lights being to close to some plastic ornaments or from burning some of the fake little pieces of plastic which people sprinkle on the tree to look like it has snow on it, whatever the case though, I would exchange it before it turns out that it is the tree burning.

Q: Storing 7.5 foot artificial Christmas tree?
I would like to buy a tote/tub to store our 7.5 artificial tree in. Do you think it would fit in one or two 45 gallon totes? I am worried about whether the poles will fit or not. I believe they break down into two. Anyone else use this size to store their tree?

A: I use the box came in to store my 7 foot tree. A 45 gallon tote should work great. I would buy two just in case and then if you don't need it you can use it to store other things. You can never have enough storage.
