Q: How many ornaments are on your Christmas tree?
and what colors/themes did you use?

A: We did silver and gold this year...various ornaments..100+

Q: My kitten is trying to climb my Christmas Tree and pawing at the ornaments what should I do?
I need help! He is going to knock it down!

A: Get some achor hooks that screw into the wall. Take some heavy cord or twine and wrap it around the tree. Tie the ends of the twine to the hooks in the wall. That will keep the tree from falling over. Be sure that only unbreakable ornaments are on the lower branches where the cat can bat them. Tie your ornaments to the tree with thin ribbon. It looks really nice and protects your cat from getting hurt by the metal hooks.

Q: If I decorate my Christmas tree with ornaments made of Spam ....?
What should I use for garland & tinsel?

A: you could actually use the spam and let it harden into ornamental shapes and give a coating of some kind of natural preservative or spray and for garland, use the popcorn, and since you need color maybe use a icing for cookies on the spam after it hardens and also use some dried wild flowers as tinsel or garland.

Q: About how many of your Christmas ornaments fall off your tree and break each year?

A: One or two. Unfortunately, the ones that break never sweem to be those garishly decorated ugly ones that my husband likes. The more gaudy, full of decorative scrolls and glitter, the prettier he thinks they are.

I am searching for ornaments to add to my collection...can you tell me what stores have their Christmas area out?

A: I live in Ca and all the stores been having there Christmas stuff out. WalMart, Target, KMart, Lowes, All stores I go to have there Christmas stuff out.

Q: how do you keep a baby from pulling ornaments off the christmas tree?

A: Yea. like most people said, start handing them above where they can reach. Or, if you are OK with the idea, get a smaller christmas tree and put it up on a table or desk or something like that. High enough they can't reach it and pull it over!

Q: What is the best way to keep pets away from Christmas trees and ornaments? Help!!?
We have a 1 year old puppy and this is her first Christmas with us (I think) and I am afraid that she will get at the tree when we are at work. She is out roaming the house during the daytime, and I don't want to have to cage her (she's our extra security)

A: ok i watch a looooooooooot of the dog whisperer, so you just have to be firm and consistent with her and let her know that she is not allowed to go near the tree. WATCH DOG WHISPERER! trust me it really helped me a lot!!!!! check your listings to see when it comes on

Q: What are some crafty uses for glass Christmas ornaments, besides hanging them on the tree?
I have LOADS AND LOADS of round glass Christmas ornaments and a fairly small tree this year. I've used some in bowls on the end tables, and filled the inside of a glass cake stand with them, and still have a ton left. Any ideas?

A: Buy a metal 'wreath frame' or whatever they're called -- sold at craft stores; round, stiff wire thing -- and some reasonably flexible wire, and make a wreath out of them. If at least some are the little ones -- you need 'em to fill in the spaces -- and the colours go well together, the finished effect is quite nice. This gives some idea, though I was thinking of it without the greenery: http://www.michaels.com/art/online/projectsheet?pid=24213a This is okay, too; a bit disco: http://scribblesnbits.typepad.com/.shared/image.html?/photos/uncategorized/multicolored_kissing_ball Unless you're getting a larger tree next year, making something semi-permanent with them will save you having to tack up and take down every single last one wherever...

Q: What's the best way to store a christmas tree and ornaments?
So I went to put the tree up today and the box it was in fell apart. Are there places where I can buy plastic storage bins that are long enough to store the tree? (the box it was in was about 6' long). Or is there a better way to store the tree so that it doesn't get dust and spiders on it, but doesn't take up massive amounts of space? And what are the best ways to store ornaments? right now, they are in a plastic storage bin wrapped in paper towels (well, they were until I put them on the tree...but you get it). Anyone know a better way?

A: You can buy a tree storage bag at stores like WalMart, Target, Lowes etc. I THINK they have started making large storage containers to store them in, but the stores are always Sold out when I try to buy one. We use a bag and it works well. Keeps the tree dry and nothing has gotten in and it's stored out in our garage 10 months of the year. As far as your ornaments go I know that there are ornament storage containers. I have 3. They are slotted so each ornament has it's own space. I still wrap mine and try to keep them in the original box (but those boxes fall apart so it's hard) Anyway I hope this helps a little.

Q: Who else is going to use coconuts as ornaments on their Christmas tree?
Are you going to hang coconuts on your Christmas tree too? =)

A: My best friend who recently moved from Hawaii all the way to Russia, is doing a hawaiian theme on his christmas tree. He made some ornaments out of coconuts, and even a tree-topper. He also used some nuts, fruits, and shells to make a garland. It's so cute!

Q: How do I keep my three cats out of the Christmas tree?
I have three cats. One is a year+ older, one is about 9 months and one is about 5 months. All three love to climb up in the Christmas tree, knock down ornaments, chew on the light cords etc. We haven't been able to keep ANYTHING on the tree because the cats are left alone during the day. NOTE: SPRAYING THEM WITH WATER DOESN'T WORK! They have developed some kind of immunity! 0.o' Help!

A: What you do is put dryer sheets under the tree. Change them every few days though. The chemicals in the dryer sheets give off a scent that the cats do not like. This works with the six cats that I have in my house.
