A: a MacBook or MacBook Pro as they are rather cheap for what you get and they have iLife. You get what you pay for. They start at $1099 USD or if you are a student $999 or $849 refurbished (Good as new; no scratches, etc). You can either purchase them from an apple retail store or from http://store.apple.com The starting MacBook has * 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo * 1GB memory * 80GB hard drive * Combo drive * Bluetooth * 802.11n Wireless * An Intergrated Webcam * iLife (iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie HD, iDVD, iCal, iWeb, and iChat) A comparable Dell to the starting MacBook ($1099/$999) would be $1,189 And you also get a free iPod nano if you are a student.

Q: should i do traditional or digital scrapbooking?
i am digitally challenged i just want to print out pics from my digital camera, with red eye removal and stuff like that, then glue them into a traditional scrap book and take it from there what do u prefer? and how do u do it? anyone got one tips for a beginner, what to buy? how to do it? help me out plz!

A: I'd go with traditional scrapbooking, even though its time-consuming, it is way more fun. Digital scrapbooking would just not be the same. Some things to start out with is: An album size of your choice. Adhesives to stick photos on the page A Craft knife A Picture Cropper Embellishments Paper Stay away from Acid stuff Stickers Anything that will make this page pop! Hope this helps!

Q: How do you do digital and paper scrapbooking together??
I have heard of some people who do digital and paper scrapbooking together. How do you combine the two?? thanks for helping a newbie! :)

A: I would imagine the pictures would be printed all at once and decorated as you would in paper scrapbooking. This one's a new one. I've heard of one or the other being done, but that's my take on it. Personally, I like the old way because with the digital it seems impersonal and the work's basically off the computer so you don't really create it as you would by hand with papers, stickers, etc. Good luck and I hope this made some sort of sense to you.

Q: Digital Scrapbooking...How to set up layout in Photoshop Elements and upload to print at Costco?
I am new to digi scrapping, but would like to try printing out my 12x12 projects. I hear Costco is good. Any tips or step-by-step instructions on how to set this up? What do I basically need to do to have a nice turn out? Help...

A: set up a new file with dimensions of the finished page if you're okay with a border (for full bleed to all edges you need to do a page larger than the finished product and trim it down). depending on the hoped for quality and what the original photos you're using are sized to, you may want to try different dpi (dots per inch, the higher the dpi, the higher the quality). use the various elements tools such as text, color fill (paint bucket), layering. to copy in other photos - open the digital photo, select all, copy, and then paste in the new file. a file with multiple layers and such will probably be saved as a photoshop document (.psd) which you can still go back in and edit easily. to take to costco you need to save as a jpeg (.jpg). hope this helps...good luck!

Q: Paper or Digital Scrapbooking?? Which is the best and more efficient way to go?? Thanks.?
I am really into digital scrapbooking, but I want to know if digital or paper scrapbooking is the best??? Which is more efficient?? Thanks. Inappropriate answers will be reported!! Thanks! :)

A: Here's the thing...what I love about scrapbooking is the community of getting together with friends and the therapy of cutting and pasting and creating. I spend enough time in front of the computer. And paper is timeless and you can touch it and even look at it by candelight if the power goes out. More efficient...I'm sure digital. But memories aren't necessarily supposed to be efficient. Whatever you decide though, do it either way because it's your story and you should pass it on... I won't judge. :)

Then click Get Started to begin making your project. You can choose from several canvas sizes. Drag and drop your photo onto the canvas. You can resize or rotate your photo. Then choose from CropMom's scrapbooking graphics and drag and drop them onto your canvas. You can click Add Text to add your own words to the layout. When you're finished, click Save. You can click Share to send your layout via e-mail directly to a friend. If you want to print your layout, you may purchase the high-resolution, print-quality JPEG file for a small fee. Then you can print it at home or have it printed by a photofinisher.

Q: I've been digital scrapbooking for awhile now and I've made a few kits any ideas on online selling?
I need someone to give me advice {preferably someone who's done it} step by step. How you started etc...your general experience. I want to start a website/blog where people can downlaod my kits for free or minimal fee and just wondering how to go about it or should I just start asking established srapbooking sites to display my kits??? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

A: An0nym0us does give basic steps in getting the site known. As for the sale process, once your site is presentable, you can use a service like Juzaz EasyPay ( http://easypay.juzaz.com ) to process the payments through Paypal. This way you don't have to worry about anything else than the design and advertising.

Q: Can someone explain digital scrapbooking?
I don't understand the whole concept. Is it something you do on your computer and save to a disk or do you print everything out and make an actual album?

A: Basically, Digital Scrapbooking is just another form of capturing & preserving your memories. You use a graphics or photo editing program to design your pages. The most commonly used programs are Adobe Photoshop (PS), Adobe Photoshop Elements (PSE), Jasc Paint Shop Pro (PSP), Microsoft Digital Image Pro (DIP) or Ulead Photo Impact (PI). It is also possible to use other programs such as FotoFusion, but does not have the same capabilities as the other programs. We are surrounded by email, the internet, computers, digital cameras, iPods, etc. Technology is all around us. So, naturally, the next step in scrapbooking is digital scrapbooking! Whether you want to incorporate 1% or 100% digital in your scrapbooking, 2PS digital experts are here to help. What are some advantages of going digital? You can change a color photo to black & white, leave it black & white but only have a spot of color for added interest, create a sepia photo, or add designs & artistic photo edges to your photos. And what about Photo Restoration? Yes. You can do that as well & we are here to teach you. How about enhancing your photos’ colors, or taking out a distracting backgournd.
